At first I took this to be a standard Thai, Buddhist Wat, however, it soon proved to be a Buddhist study centre. "Mahapanya Vidayalai", in name, which translates as "Mahapanya College". A rather attractive spot to visit, if you find yourself in southern Thailand, with a little time to spare. Standing guard on the main road entrance of this college are two, red, rather scary looking lions.
Hat Yai is one of the two large cities in the south of Thailand.
I have been told that such lions are on the lookout for those with ill intent in their hearts—you have been warned!
Physical Address: Thumnoonvithi Road Hat Yai, Songkhla Thailand.
