KUNST VON MAX WEILER AM BAHNHOF INNSBRUCK
1954 erhielt Max Weiler den Auftrag, zwei Wandbilder in der
im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstörten und wiederaufgebauten Innsbrucker
Bahnhofshalle auszuführen. Das Bild an der Südwand entstand 1955 und stellt eine Szene aus dem Universitätsalltag, einen jubelnden Skifahrer und einen Segelflieger dar.
Obgleich diese Arbeiten von Max Weiler zur damaligen Zeit von
massiven öffentlichen Protesten begleitet wurden, verteidigten die
ÖBB-Verantwortlichen die Weiler Werke am Innsbrucker Hauptbahnhof.
Heute stellen die Wandmalereien einen wichtigen Aspekt im Lebenswerk
des berühmten Künstlers Max Weiler dar.

ART OF MAX WEILER AT THE STATION INNSBRUCK
1954 Max Weiler was commissioned two murals in the
destroyed during the Second World War and rebuilt in Innsbruck
Concourse run. The picture on the south wall was built in 1955 and depicts a scene from the University of everyday life, a cheering skiers and a glider pilot dar.
Although these works by Max Weiler at the time of
massive public protests have been accompanied, defended the
