Status: Still remains and is accessible to the public.
This is a "35' Aermotor LS40 tower".
Until recently, the tower and trail lay on property of Domtar Industries Timber Company. In January, 2005, Domtar sold 20,000 acres of its holdings around Lyon Mt. to The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for eventual re-sale to New York State.
The trail is now in excellent conditions and you can climb easily to the top of the tower.
