The Juliette Hampton Morgan Library is the main library for the Montgomery City - County Library System. It's current home was once shared with the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.

The Main Library in Montgomery is named for Julette Hampton Morgan, a librarian in the 1950s who publicly supported the Civil Rights Movement. This is not the first building for the public library, which traces its roots to a subscription service in a room above a drug store on Dexter Avenue beginning on June 19, 1899. In 1904, the Carnegie Library opened. This was the home of the main library until 1960, when a new facility was opened combining both the main library and the Museum of Fine Arts.
