This is the site of a follow-up article entitled "D.C. snipers' first two victims were at ABC store in Montgomery."
A summary of the incident:
On September 21, 2002, Claudine Parker was shot and killed and her coworker, Kellie Adams, was injured at this ABC Store as they locked up for the night. Lee Boyd Malvo's fingerprints were lifted from a firearms publication found at the crime scene which led authorities to Washington state and a link to John Allen Muhammad.
A police officer who chased a suspect from the shooting scene later picked Muhammad out of a lineup, authorities said. Police said a second suspect fled in a different direction.
This eventually tied this killing to the Beltway attacks and allowed authorities to identify Muhammad and Malvo as suspects, although this connection was not made until October 17.
