Lac de Capitello (Lavu di Capitellu in Corsican) is one of several small glacial lake pearls of mountain area of Massif du Monte Rotondo in Corsica (Haute Corse).

Lac de Capitello is located in the upper part of Restonica valley (altitude 1 930 m) above Lac di Melo, about 11 km from the town Corte. Lake is located circa 3 hrs of walk and hiking from parkings in lower part of Restonica valley. Lac de Capitello is a glacial lake, deepest in Corsica, frozen 8 months of year. The beautiful Restonica valley with surroundig glacial lakes is favorite target for many holiday hikers...
