One doesn’t usually see many black bears in Iowa, let alone a whole family of them, but this mural depicts just that. This sow bear and her three cubs are wandering down a typical farm road unconcerned that they might attract attention. In the background a tractor is being used to cut hay while farm buildings stand in the distance against a sunset sky. A traditional windmill catches the breeze while a cut-out type bear silhouette heads to the edge of the painting. The painting was done by Colleen Mitchell Veyna and Brice Veyna in 2010
