Decades ago the Bureau of Land Management placed numerous concrete marker posts along the Dominguez/Escalante Trail where it crossed public lands managed by the BLM. Some of these marker posts still survive while most were stolen as souvenirs or knocked over by cattle that thought that they made excellent rubbing posts. Two or more of these surviving posts are reported to remain in the Warner Valley southeast of St. George Utah but I was only able to locate this solitary example.
