This Equatorial Sundial is situated just north of the Fleischmann Planetarium on the UNR Campus. If it wasn't a sundial, I would think it was an abstract piece of art. A small plaque attached to the sundial reads:

"EQUATORIAL SUNDIAL
THE SHADOW OF THE WIRE INDICATES CORRECT TIME ON THE RING"
