This modern cemetery was first opened in 1964 and comprises 17 acres ovelooking the western mountains and Iao Valley on the island of Maui, Hawaii.

The entrance to this cemetery has a stone wall with a semicircular memorial to all veterans, with an bronze eagle with wings outspread. The road leads up to a gently sloping hillside with a view of the mountains to the west. There are only ground level plaques with no upright grave stones, and there is a feeling of open space with few trees or other vegetation. It is difficult to estimate the number of graves here, as they are somewhat scattered, but it may be around 1,000 graves.
