This waterfall is located in a finger of the Beach City Wildlife Area operated by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife as a hunting area. It was possibly named after the Italian artists who visit the area. A parking area is available off Camp Road. A primitive trail leads from the lot to the falls. The stream that plunges over this falls is unnamed on USGS maps and other local maps (not all streams have a name). The stream looks like it was moved long ago to enable it to plunge over this rock outcrop. It looks like the original course would have cascaded over a series of rocks. There is evidence of a building near the top of the original falls. This is a very scenic area with much sandstone outcropping and hemlock trees. Several areas within the Wildlife Area show evidence of quarrying. A rugged access may also be gained by following this stream up from the South Fork of Sugar Creek in the larger part of the Wildlife Area. Many small waterfalls are encountered along the way.
