Fire Station No.3 was built with a federal grant and completed in January of 1979. It is located at 601 West Columbia Lane. To accommodate the growing size and needs of the department, a 4 and 1/2 story concrete tower was built behind the station for training purposes. This station won an architectural award for design.
Station 3 responds to the northwest area of the city which includes Grandview and the lower BYU campus. Truck 23 is a 2006 Pierce Quint All-Steer with a 105’ Ladder. Rescue 23 is a 2006 American LaFrance medium duty paramedic ambulance. Engine 26 is a 1978 LaFrance that was refurbished by Pierce. It is utilized as a backup.
