Hue Citadel is located on the north bank of the Perfume River. Inside the citadel was the Imperial City, with a perimeter of almost 2.5 kilometers.

Hue Citadel has been officially recognized by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in December 1993.

The coordinates were taken at the Citadel Main Gate (Ngo Mon)
