Kil-So- Quah is on J. Edward Roush (Huntington) lake which is a reservoir. In the winter time it is not uncommon for the DNR to drain the lake and reveal the old river banks and trees that lie below the lake.
The ramp is now free (used to charge). There are bathrooms on site and a campground adjacent to the lake and part of the launch complex run by the state.
As of the writing of this waymark in 2012 the google sat map shown in the corner of this waymark shows the boat ramp as being in the middle of the lake. this is no mistake. take a close look and you will see the shoreline is actually almost entirely engulfed the parking lot for the ramp area. The boat ramp is entirely submerged.
