The church stands in the middle of Northallerton, displaying the time for all to see. A blue faced clock with gold coloured hands. The hours represented by Roman numerals.

There is only one face on the south side of the tower, looking towards the commercial area of the town. The clock is mentioned in The history and annals of Northallerton, Yorkshire by Rev. J L Saywell, published in 1885. It looks to be a wooden face, with stone sill above protecting it from the rain.
