"In an area which has been settled since the earliest era, with remains recently found of an Iron Age encampment at Monte da Guilheta, Castelo do Neiva Beach takes on a rural ambience. In addition to the surrounding agriculture, local activities also include gathering seaweed to be used to fertilise the fields and fishing, which continues to play a role at the northern end of this beach with its small fishing port and dock.
Beyond the port, the sands stretch out over a large area and are fully equipped with a full range of support infrastructures to ensure the best possible conditions for sunbathers."
