The two fossilized tree stumps come south from the coal-mining aspen grove of Leipzig. The stumps are 35 million years old.

Die vor dem Naturkundemuseum liegenden verkieselten Baumstämme sind 35 Millionen Jahre alt und entstammen dem Braunkohletagebau Espenhain südöstlich von Leipzig.
