This is a private residence, surrounded by trees, which is intended to block the view of the house from the street. View with the owners interest in mind.
The house is a stone structure and L shaped. It is colonial in looks, with window dormers across the steep pitched roof. There is clearly 3 stories to this house. Windows are double hung, 6 pane over 6 pane.
Druidsdream was a random-course granite house built for Joseph Peace Hazard. He stated "I named the lot 'Druidsdream' since new year of 1884, I think ....and intended to have that name inscribed upon the stone caps of the front door of this house. This title applies to the locality rather than to this house". The house was not to be his personal residence but of others who needed it. The granite came from Hazard's quarry at Sea Side Farm.
