This is an ancient wood of ash, oak and field maple situated on the West Bedfordshire Clay Ridge within the Marston Vale Community Forest. Fine views of the surrounding countryside and Bedford town can be seen from the wood edges on this pleasant 4 mile circular walk.
Plenty of wild life can be seen.

Up hill approx half a mile with no stiles but a couple of kissing gates and a small footpath bridge mainly earth pathways.


What points of interest are there?:
A small stream runs along the entrance to the fields then is arable farmland, leading into the woods, with plenty of evidence of wildlife.


What activities are available?:
Bird watching .
