The museum houses a large collection of furniture, books & artefacts from Moruya's past. There is a outside static display of a heavy 1881 Abernethy Stonemason's lathe. The Moruya & District Historical Society who run the museum also do research & recording & have a number of publications for sale.
The museum has a Genealogy Research Room which can be used by family history researchers.
