DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1987 25.7 KM (15.95 MI) WEST FROM WEST THUMB. 25.7 KM (15.95 MI) WESTERLY ALONG THE MADISON JUNCTION-WEST THUMB HIGHWAY FROM ITS SOUTH JUNCTION WITH THE WEST THUMB-LAKE JUNCTION HIGHWAY IN WEST THUMB, IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE NORTH WALKWAY OF A HIGHWAY BRIDGE SPANNING THE FIREHOLE RIVER, AND 5.0 M (16.4 FT) NORTHWEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY. THE MARK IS 0.3 M ABOVE THE HIGHWAY.
