In Dedham, on High Street, is the Allin Congregational Church. This church is located on High Street at the western end of downtown Dedham.

The church is a classic white wooden clapboard church, with a tower and cupola, topped with a weathervane. The entrance faces the road, and there are several entrances to the building, including doors toward the road.

Inside, the church is laid out in the classic manner, with pews in boxes on the main floor. They are proud of their organ. It was originally installed at Harvard's Appleton Chapel, and was installed in the Allin Church in 1938. It has since been updated with a Rodgers console.

The congregation has its roots all the way back to the settlement of Dedham in 1638. In 1818, like many churches in the area, the congregation became polarized and eventually split. The original edifice was kept by the group that became the Unitarian Church, located across the street. The Congregational group was provided the land originally owned by Allin - and hence, the name. The building was built in 1818, according to a pdf of a walking tour that was produced by several groups including the Dedham Square Circle (business group), The Dedham Historical Society and the Town of Dedham. In the last few years the two congregations have made efforts to hold joint events, including services.

The church activities include choir, prison ministry, and participation in World Vision, 30 hour famine. They also held a Christmas party at the Hope-Shattuck Homeless Shelter.
