Die Erdpyramiden von Terenten befinden sich nördlich des Ortes Terenten und sind am schönsten auf einer Wanderung entlang des Mühlenweges zu erleben.
Wem Wandern nicht liegt, der kann auch mit dem Auto bis zum Cache fahren. Aber die Wanderung ist wärmstens empfohlen.
Erdpyramiden entstehen durch Erosion. Auslöser ist oftmals ein Aufbrechen des Bodens, z.B. durch einen Hangrutsch. Grundlage für die Pyramidenbildung sind Steine oder Steinplatten, die in der erodierenden Schicht liegen. Diese bilden ein natürliches Dach und schützen die darunterliegende Schicht vor der Verwitterung. Während ungeschützt liegendes Material mit der Zeit abgetragen wird, bleibt unter dem Stein ein Materialkegel stehen - die Erdpyramide.
