Located at Lx Factory in Alcântara, Lisboa, Cantina (canteen) is a friendly and informal restaurant where you can eat well and cheaply.

A Cantina is mix of canteen, tavern and grandmother´s barn, which combines the good old DIY spirit with the surrounding industrial atmosphere.
Result? A simple and unpretentious space, with good food at honest prices, Duck rice in large doses (7.50 €), tuna tagliatelle, al dente, (6.50 €). The salads are on a table in the center, for those who want to serve without pay more for it.

The room is spacious, with antique tables and colorful iron chairs, bare brick walls and a ceiling with the tiles and guts on display. nwhere the universal flavors joined the Portuguese tradition, the wood oven and the memories of the old canteen that served several generations of workers since 1846.

Tomorrow there will be other dishes, but the environment is always the same: friendly, informal, cafeteria-gender-brings-a-friend along.

Open Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 19.30 (dinner only by appointment for groups). And there's room for smokers.
