Lake Hotel - Wyoming - U.S. National Register of Historic Places on Waymarking.com

The Lake Hotel was originally constructed in 1891 and was a large 3-story barracks like building. In 1903-1904, the hotel under went it’s first major alteration and expansion to a large Colonial Revival structure. The architect of the renovation was Robert C. Reamer who was also the architect for Old Faithful Inn and buildings at Mammoth and Canyon. Additions to the building were made in 1922-23, and 1928. By the 1970s, the Hotel had fallen into disrepair and in 1981, the park concessioner and the Park Service began a ten-year restoration of the hotel. In 1991, the building was placed on the National Historic Register for the Hotels centennial.
