The box is set in brick in a typically Norfolk flint wall. It is still in use with last posting times still clear. No makers information is to be found on the box.
Tell us about the area the post box is situated.:
Yarmouth Road was once the main route from Norwich to Great Yarmouth. Since the building of the Southern Bypass the traffic volume has greatly diminished. The box is at the bottom of a steep hill that is the entrance to Thorpe House Preparatory School. In times gone by it also led to Pinebanks the sports and social club of the former Norwich Union Insurance Company, now known as Aviva.
