This old milestone is in very poor condition and could only be located by the description on the Milestone Society website.
The 1908 Ordnance Survey maps says:-
Leeds 6
Wakefield 3
The stone has no front plate any more but there is a hole and metal tag to the centre of it that would have held it on.
The Milestone Society describe this stone as being in Leeds Road, Lofthouse Gate and at the 'base of wall in front of No.124 (painted white'.
