The church site was quite large, featured numerous building and a very large cemetery. Holy Family also operates another cemetery, located about 5 miles south on Highway 57. Fine modern church building. From the Diocese website (listed below in varibles) I learned Holy Family of Grand Caillou became a parish in Sept. 1952. The current building and classroom wing was dedicated in 1982. The parish holds a blessing of the fleet in April, before the May shrimping season, which is common for all parishes in the lower bayous of Louisiana.
