Designed by the Architect Porfírio Pardal Monteiro, this unique building was the first modern building in Lisbon's main avenue and the first architectural work to be designed from scratch to a newspaper.

Rectangular, with a basement and six floors, this building has many courtyards inside that grants it a very specific and peculiar rhythm: it is a constructive solution of a mixed building (offices, industry) with a clearly urban front.

Also worth mentioning, that this building has won the Valmor Prize in 1940.
