The prison was completed in 1811 and has seen its share of history, some of it kind of nasty. So, you figure there is bound to be some weird stuff going on here. During the restoration of the building in 1999, workers reported strange events such as loud noises, voices, and quick temperature changes. Missing items turned up in rooms the workers had not even entered. Dozens of paranormal and ghost research teams from across the country are drawn to the museum to investigate these and many other inexplicable events. SOURCE
I didn't feel or see anything when I visited. The ghosts or at least the telling of ghosts and hauntings is part of the tour and I imagine part of the appeal of this local tourist attraction.
