The three clock faces on the church and were installed in 1905, white faced with numerals and figures in black. In 1951 illumination of the clock faces was carried out as a memorial to those of the parish who gave their lives in the second world war. Foundation stone for the church was laid by 5th Earl Fitzwilliam in 1841,and cost the Earl £2,500 to build. Consecrated in 1843.
