There are two giant guardian lions at the Thai Pagoda. They weigh a thousand kilos apiece and are said to be the biggest in Vietnam.

Thay (master) Pagoda is about 30km west of Hanoi and is located in the Ha Tay province of Vietnam. It was built during the Ly Nhan Tong Dynasty (1072-1127) and named after the Buddhist monk Tu Dao Hanh who was a teacher and the inventor of water puppetry, an art form unique to Vietnam.
