This bridge was built in 1927 and is approximately 300 ft high. The new bridge was built right beside this one and connects Saluda with Hendersonville, NC. Instead of tearing the old bridge down they made a great little parking area so you can hike the river nearby as well as walk on the old bridge. If you're an avid geocacher there are several caches around the bridge as well. If you decide to hike under or around the bridge mind the slope down to the river. Be careful, it is steep!
