Sri Maju is one of the major (maybe the largest) Malaysian bus company. It deals with travel within west Malaysia, and internationally to neighbouring Singapore and Thailand.
This station, located in the quiet, central Malaysian city of Ipoh, is the main station of the company. I did enquire, from one of the drivers, why here and not in Kuala Lumpur, and I was told that Ipoh was the hometown of the company owner, thus the UQ is here. Simple enough.
The station is found near the city centre. There is a large field, filled with blue buses, lots of staff standing taking a smoke break, and a small office with one guy selling tickets and a dozen or so chairs. I gather that few people disembark in Ipoh, the station here is more for the buses and drivers than the customer. Small range of snacks and drinks on sale in office. Waymark made at road side entrance.
