The small city of Ipoh in central Malaysia has a number of dated building, most dating back to the 'good old days', when the Brits ruled the Malay states (of course, 'good' depends on your perspective). This multi-story building has, at its very top point, looking towards the main street, a date: 1973. There is also Chinese language text beneath, most likely the name of the building. The ground floor appears to be occupied by small vendors, but the upper stories are abandoned. The building looks to have been apartments.
This building is directly opposite another dated building of the same era.
