McHenry IL Elm Street Citgo - Googie Architecture on Waymarking.com

Citgo service station, with modified Googie architecture. It has the angled upright exterior wall. I'm not sure of the purpose of this was.The building has the upswept roofline. This little building has had the windows modified. The googie lines were more noticeable before the new Citgo canopy was added. There are not very many "Googie" buildings left in this area.
