De Pere, Wisconsin's history is tied to the Fox River, from the native Indians, to the explorers Nicolas Perrot and Claude Allouez, to the areas dependence on logging and the paper industry. Now, however, most of the use is recreational, but the past is not forgotten. This is a vibrant and beautiful small town, whick enjoys its waterfront, and this fountain is just another way to honor the river.
It is long, with varying levels, representative of changing elevations of the Fox River.
