The metal weathervane is one-of-a-kind and represents a favorite activity of the namesake of this park. The county park is named the Henry J. Dunn Memorial Park and feature this Gazebo, a couple of historic markers relating directly to the parks founding and not much else.
The vane is incredibly detailed. The golfer is actually 3-d upon closer inspection, made of copper and features a front and back and looks rather new, considering there is no visible oxidation. The golfer has just finished a swing/drive and is looking out with club still poised above and in back of his shoulder. One foot is on the directional arrow, the other, off to the side in the air (but welded to the arrow). The creases of his pants are well defined and the pants are hiked up to the shin bone. Without a decent zoom lens, the artistic quality of this vane would be missed.
