Der historische Wasserturm auf dem Arnsberg diente (natürlich) seit seiner Erbauung der Trinkwasserversorgung des Stadtgebietes. Aufgrund der Tatsache, daß diese Versorgung anderweitig erfolgt, stand der Turm lange Zeit ohne Nutzeffekt da.
Ein Konsortium von Bauträgern entschloß sich aus dem Wasserturm eine Wohnanlage zu gestalten, die voraussichtlich im Jahr 2012 fertiggestellt wird. Von hier aus hat man als Bewohner eine prima Aussicht auf das Erfurter Becken und die Wachsenburggemeinde mit seinen Höhenzügen und Burgen.

The historic water tower on the Arnsberg was (of course) since its construction of the drinking water supply of the city. Due to the fact that this supply is otherwise, the tower stood emty a long time because no useful effect.
A consortium of developers decided out of the water tower in a residential complex design, which is scheduled for completion in 2012. From here you have people as an excellent view over Erfurt area and Wachsenburggemeinde with its hills and castles.
