This simple station served a company town on the CPR's New Westminster Branch. As the branch line slowly changed from having passenger service to just having frieght the station's role changed. Eventually the mill closed down and the Fraser Mill station closed as well. Eventually it was moved from the Fraser River floodplain to higher ground about a mile north of it's original site.
