As senhorinhas ficavam a passear, como os ilustres Senhores, que contavam suas Histórias e faziam também muitas barganhas (trocas). Os casarões em volta da Praça, estilo colonial, marcam a riqueza do ciclo cafeeiro em Paraibuna. Foi restaurada pelo Prefeito Luiz de Gonzaga Santos, na gestão de 1989 a 1992, e inaugurada em 10.06.89. A denominação da praça homenageia o inesquecível Pároco Monsenhor Ernesto Almírio Arantes, que tanto fez por Paraibuna, com suas obras de caridade." (visit link)
