La propriété à cet endroit fut construit en 1850 par Alonzo Wright. Après sa mort en 1884, le domaine fut acheté par les pères du Saint-Esprit (spiritains). Ils transformèrent le manoir en institution d'enseignement privée dans laquelle ils donnèrent des cours de formation classique jusqu'à environ la moitié du XXe siècle. C'est en 1912 qu'on lui donna le nom de Collège Saint-Alexandre.

The property at this location was built in 1850 by Alonzo Wright. After his death in 1894, the property was bought by Jesuit priests. They transformed the manor into a private educational institution where they tought classical studies, including philosophy, Greek, and Latin until the middle of the XXth century. It became to be known as the Collège Saint-Alexandre in 1912.
