Engine House #1 in Erving has been converted into a museum of the history of Erving, which has been named the Pearl B. Care building. Pearl B. Care was a local writer who wrote and published the history of Erving in 1983. The historic fire bell is hung on a wooden frame and on display outside the building. The bell is inscribed:
