Viadukt vznikl pri budování takzvané Pražsko-Duchovské dráhy a byl dokoncen roku 1873.
Jedná se o kamenný obloukový most. Sestává z peti obloukových polí o rozpetí deseti metru.
Maximální výška mostu je 17.7 metru nad korytem Knovízského potoka a celková délka mezi krajními operami je takrka sto metru.
Za celou dobu své existence most neprodelal žádnou významnou stavební úpravu.
Od roku 2005 je viadukt veden jako památkove chránená stavba.
Pres viadukt prochází železnicní trat císlo 110 z Podlešína do Slaného.
Zajímavostí je, že pod viaduktem prochází teleso železnicní trati * 11 b. Tato trat spojovala nedalekou Zvoleneves s Kladnem a zajištovala dopravní obsluhu dolu a cukrovaru. Zrušena byla v roce 1982. U Podlešínského mostu mužete videt jeden z nejzachovalejších úseku náspu zrušené trate. Na souradnicích waymarku se navíc zachovalo i torzo malého mostku, kterým trat prekonávala potok.

The viaduct was built in 1873 during construction of the railroad from Prague to Duchcov.
It is a stone arch bridge. It consists of five fields of arc with a span about of ten meters.
Maximum height of the bridge is 17.7 meters above the Knovíz creek and the total length between the extremities of abutments is almost a hundred meters.
For the whole period of existence the construction of the viaduct was not changed.
Since 2005 the bridge is oficially recognized as the cultural heritage.
Local railway track number 110 from Podlešín to Slany used this bridge today.
Another interesting thing are remains of canceled railroad * 11 b. This railroad connected nearby village Zvoleneves with Kladno and provided transportation service for mines and sugar refinery. Today you can see an abandoned enbankment of this railroad which go under the viaduct. On coordinates of this waymark a torso of the small bridge from this railroad is still preserved.
