Deepwater has a population of approx. 300. The brigade has two tankers, one a category 1 with 4 by 4 capabilities, the other a category 7 designed for bush fires.
I recall seeing one of their tankers passing through my town on its way home early this century after the Shoalhaven Region (southern NSW) was severley impacted by bushfires. Brigades from all over NSW & Australia came to our assistance. The local citizens stopped & clapped as they & other brigades passed through.
Unusually this brigade has its own website so their talents are many.
