The site of a United Chruch has been converted to a park to recognize Barrhead's heros from days gone by. A monument placed by the local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is found at one end. A Carr. 17 Pr. Mk.I gun is found as is a plaque recognizing the former chruch site and a tree that was planted in recognition of 100 years of flight in Canada by the Air Cadets.

This small mostly grassed park is triangular in shape and is the perfect stop in the middle of town for taking a break and contemplating the loss represented by the numerous names on the monument.
