Commonwealth is a 14-1/2 foot gilded statue that is perched atop the Pennsylvania State Capitol dome in Harrisburg, PA. It is sometimes referred to as Miss Penn, Spirit of the Commonwealth or Latita, after William Penn's daughter.
Commonwealth was put into place in 1905 and was restored in 1998. It is featured on the reverse side of the Pennsylvania state quarter which was issued in 1999.
