The Marshall’s Office is located in the Plymouth County Fairgrounds pioneer village and shares the same name with my husband (Wilderness Papa). A framed history is mounted next to the front door and states:

“Marshall’s Office.

When was the building built? According to John Schlesser, in 1978, the building was estimated to be 75 years old.

When was the building moved to the fairgrounds? The Marshall’s office was brought to the fairgrounds in 1978.

What has this building been used for? What is it currently used for? This building was used by Struble Lumber as a scale house. Nurses used to give free blood pressure exams in this building. After they moved to the first aid stand, it was used to make finger print ID’s.

What is the original location of this building? This building was originally located at Struble Lumber and was donated to the fairgrounds by Ken Jacobsen, Elevator Corp, president.”
