"The Booth Street Bridge, approximatley 20 meters in length, is a single span stone arch bridge built over the Ottawa aqueduct in 1873. Of the five single stone arch bridges built over the aqueduct, the Booth Street Bridge is the only one still allowing vehicular traffic. There is a short stone wall built on each side of the bridge. Water still flows under the bridge on its way to the Fleet Street Pumping Station. Including the Booth Street Bridge, there are 5 other stone arch bridges over the aqueduct in Lebreton Flats. They were all built circa 1873 over a distance of approximately 700 meters."

A new bridge will be built at this location in the years ahead to accommodate the new Light Rail System, but the bridge, I expect, will be preserved owing its historical significance and heritage designation.
On the photo uploaded to this waymark, the Lloyd Street Bridge can be seen in the background.
