A Christmas Story is a holiday classic receiving 24 hour marathons on TBS on Christmas day. The sign in the movie says Bowling with the w burnt out, based on a real experience by Assistant Director Ken Goch. Indoor scenes for the film were filmed at a studio also in Toronto.
The scene is the finale of the movie where the family, after having their turkey eaten by dogs, goes to a Chinese restaurant for dinner.
Today the building still has much of its earlier form but has been changed into a French restaurant.
